BEHAVIOR
Strengths: Physically Fit: Thanks to the manual labour Vethin had to take part in during his initial training and continued training and chores as an acolyte of the Weavers, his body had been honed to be muscular and enduring.
Mentally Mature: Study is a key part of the training of an Acolyte of the Weavers. Vethin is well read, but more than that, is good at reading people and their state of mind. This comes from the house calls he has to make when doing his work for the temple, as well as growing up trying to survive in the big city orphanage.
Unyieldingly Optimistic: While Vethin has faced his fair share of difficulty, he is convinced that it had all led him to where he is now. In his mind, everything happens for a reason, and his life has ended up alright despite the difficult parts. He is always encouraging and confident, often urging those who have lost hope to press on and do their best!

Weaknesses: Sheltered & Naïve: Having grown up in an orphanage, Vethin learned a little bit about how the world works..But after that, he went straight to the Weavers and missed out on really learning about how the rest of the world behaves. He's had some exposure, but for the most part, he is very sheltered and ends up making choices that a wiser person would avoid.
A Follower...not a Leader: Vethin has had most of the choices in his life made for him. Where to sleep, what to eat, who to talk to, what to learn; very little has been up to him. And so he is far more comfortable following a strong leader than leading the charge himself.
Frustratingly Optimistic: While Vethin has faced his fair share of difficulty, he is convinced that it had all led him to where he is now. In his mind, everything happens for a reason, and his life has ended up alright despite the difficult parts. Most people know that isn't actually how the world works, and it can be frustrating to have someone like Vethin around because of that.

Motivation: Vethin is driven to protect those who can't protect themselves. He does this now by training in the temple and helping those in his city, but someday he dreams of actively defending them with the sword as a Sentinel of the Weavers. He wants to push back the dark so that those who can't fight can still stand tall in the light.
Personality: Contemplative: Vethin often has his nose deep in a book or can be found staring out at the desert thinking about the future and how things came to be. He is thoughtful, and rarely likes to make snap decisions. Instead, he would rather think through his optiosn before moving forward.
Hard-working: Chores at the orphanage, the temple, during his training, and his practice at swordplay and staying healthy mean that Vethin is a hard-working young man. If he is given a task, he will push to completed to the best of his abilities every time.
Faithful: Vethin truly believes in the message of the Weavers. While he may be a bit biased because they took him from the horrible orphanage, he has grown to be quite devout himself and has a hard time going against the tenants of his faith.
Loyal: Betrayal is a word that Vethin barely knows. He believes that his friends can be trusted and once he is close to you, he would do anything for you.
Ambitious: While Vethin came from nothing, he does not intend to end his life that way. He is driven, and always pushes toward his goals to be a Sentinel, and they maybe something greater beyond that!

Orphanage Owner: Abigail Suth, female, Quenyese, 62
History: Birth & Early Years: Vethin never knew his parents. When he was just over a year old, the simple Cerisun Hall shop owners were killed in a fire that was ruled to be a horrible accident. An infant Vethin was taken to the orphanage in the city and raised there by Abigail Suth, the owner. She took a liking to Vethin, but because of the extra attention he recieved around the orphanage, he was bullied relentlessly. as he got older, he decided that trying to fight it wasn't worth it, instead leaning into his role as Abigail's favourite and doing extra chores and helping around the place as much as he could. The younger kids took a shine to him, but while many of them got adopted, Vethin never did. Life continued like this until he turned 16 years old...
Induction and Life in the Temple: On his sixteenth birthday, representatives from the Weavers came to the orphanage. While this wasn't unusual, this time they came seeking older children to be inducted as acolytes into their order and takes to Sunsalt Lake to help with the temple there. Vethin saw this as his chance to leave and go into the world while also helping it. He signed up happily, bidding farewell to Abigail and going to the Temple for his induction and initial training.
To become an acolyte, the training was much harder than he anticipated. Reading, writing, arithmetic, and even swordplay were all part of what Vethin learned before he finally gained the title of Acolyte and moved to his new home in Sunsalt Lake. It was during that training that he also learned about the Sentinels. After watching them train and speaking with a few of them, Vethin decided that one day, he would be a Sentinel too.
Since then, Vethin has worked peacefully in his small temple, making a name for himself around the town and helping anyone he can. Though his heart burns for adventure...
