Description: No one would ever believe that Caid was once a member of nobility. Between his utter disinterest in fashion and his ragged appearance, the man looks more at home in the streets of Ocia. His soot black hair is shorn haphazardly for sake of ease and his scraggily beard often forgotten in his haste. His bronzed skin, weather beaten and lightly scared, is usually covered in a fine layer of filth, not for lack of bathing but simply because no great discovery was made while clean, or so he says. The clothes he's adorned with are well travelled and nearly threadbare, mended to the point where there's likely nothing left of the original garment which, Caid jokingly says, makes them like new. His long, dexterous fingers are covered in long healed burns and cuts from his experiments and tinkering. Infrequently, these blemishes are joined with bandages, dyes, ink, and soot stains in some combination. Always on his person, is a wooden apothecary's box, strapped to his back with strong, leather straps. Contained within are a mixture of tincture, tonics, tools, and knick-knacks of his own creation.
While most would look upon this man and assume him to be a wretch his demeanor says otherwise. A playful smirk usually playing across his features and his brown eyes hungrily consuming everything about him. It's at this time most would possibly entertain the idea of interacting with Caid. Unfortunately, it's about that time that they would spot a large spider peak out from his collar or run out from his cuff.
Orchis, Caid's better half and handler, is a large spider whose body is roughly 3 inches long and has a leg span of 8 inches. Her body is coated in prickly black furs that often cause Caid to squirm when she crawls across him and cause her to practically disappear when she perches herself on his head. Where as Caid's eyes are filled with wonder all eight of Orchis' hold nothing but disdain. While he tithers on, she watches, clicking her fangs and allowing small droplets of venom to well and glisten in the light. Caid is quick to chastise his familiar though often finds himself being chided for his blind faith in humanity.
