ENTRY I:
the last voyage across the sea was fruitful. the Daínish are a fine people even with their freakish bear forms. I happened upon an old man wrapped in an aetherfox pelt. of course, I had to ask how he'd come to own it, but he refused to reveal more than showing me a missing stump of a hand. he traded me the hooves of the feathered stag I'd downed prior for a book.
vagon's voyage the book is called. I opened it on the way back to sela and had finished it by nightfall. it details the adventures of an old blind man who captained a ship called sea splitter. I have to say that although unrealistic, I grew to respect vagon and his perseverance in the face of pirates and sea snakes.
perhaps one day I'll come to own a ship of my own. spare me the blindness, though.
